Brindavan Gardens is one of the most beautiful gardens in India. I am not sure when it was made. However, it is a very old construction. It was made by Dr Vishweshwariah who also constructed the Krishna Raj Sagar Dam (KRS). The Brindavan Gardens is right adjacent to KRS.
Many Bollywood films have been shot in Brindavan Gardens. Not much has changed over so many years here. A little dash of technology is added here and there.
Brindavan Gardens is the place where I first heard of Musical Fountains. They are still a major attraction here.
We visited Brindavan Gardens last on 24-Feb-2019. It was nearly 7:00 PM by the time we reached here. Though Brindavan Gardens is just about 18 KM from the Mysore Town, it takes about 30 minutes to reach here from Mysore Town. So, it was already dark when we reached Brindavan Gardens.
There is an Entrance Ticket to enter Brindavan Gardens. I do not remember exactly how much we paid per person.
We needed to walk quite a bit from the main entrance to the Gardens. When walking to the Brindavan Gardens, one can see the KRS Dam on the left. Earlier, it was allowed to walk on the dam as well. However, it has been disallowed now.
There is now a boat service to take people from near the entrance to the Gardens. However, we preferred to walk on the bridge.
We spent about 1 hour in the Gardens. On the way back, we took the boat. We had to pay Rs. 20 per person for the Boat Ride.
