On 29-June-2018, I had only one meeting at 4:00 PM. So, I had the whole of the morning free. I had breakfast at Hilton, Sukumvit at 8:30 AM. By 9:00 AM, I was on the streets of Bangkok. I walked to the Skytrain Station next to my hotel – Phrom Phong. I bought a ticket to Siam station for 33 Baht. At Siam Station, I bought another ticket to Saphan Taksin station for 37 Bahts. At Saphan Taksin, I got down from the Skytrain station and walked to the Sathorn Pier. There I booked a Long Tail Boat for 1000 Baht for a 1 hour ride in the Canals of Bangkok.
Bangkok is known as the Venice of the East as there is a huge settlement around the canals around the Chao Phraya River.
I got a boat all to myself for the ride. The price person is lowered as the number of members for the ride is more.

Once we were through with the ride through the Canal, I had a choice to get off at Grand Palace or at Sathorn Pier. I chose to get off at Sathorn Pier and go to Inthamara Soi 4, where I lived for 3 years between 1996 and 1999.
